BA (Hons)., MA Creative Arts in Therapy, Dip. Play Therapy, Cert in Counselling Skills. Janie joined SACCS in 2002, with 12 years professional experience of working therapeutically with children.

Richard Rose
Director Mary Walsh Institute

MBA, PGSWE, BPhil in Child Care and CQSW. Richard has over 22 year’s professional experience of working with children and families, and joined the senior management team of SACCS in 1997.

Billy Pughe
Operational Director SACCS Care Ltd.

Qualified Group Analyst (UKCP) and Member of the Institute of Group Analysis, Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Child Care, B.Ed (Hons). Billy has over 18 years experience of therapeutic work with children and families.

Mary Walsh
Chief Executive

Founder and owner of SACCS group of companies and Chair of the Main Board. Mary's inspirational practice maintains the company in its pre-eminent position within the world of therapeutic residential care for severely traumatised children, making SACCS the standard by which other providers are judged.

Patrick Tomlinson
Director

With an MA in Therapeutic Child Care, Patrick is highly qualified in the delivery of services for traumatised children and young people. His career spans 19 years in both academia and the management of residential provision for children. Patrick is responsible for ensuring the development of practice. In particular, ensuring that the SACCS approach to recovery enables the most positive outcomes for children and young people.

Terry Philpot

Terry Philpot is author and editor of several books, including (with Anthony Douglas) Adoption: Changing Families, Changing Times. He writes regularly for The Times Education Supplement, The Tablet and other publications, he has won awards for journalism, and was former editor of Community Care. his work will be well known to many social workers.

Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas MSW, CQSW is Director of SACCS Family Placement. He has been involved in childcare for 25 years and in foster care since 1984, first as a worker and since 1987 also as a foster carer. He has worked in both the public and independent fostering sectors.
