SACCS commissioned a Longitudinal Research Study into - Education and Care Outcomes for children who have resided at SACCS between January 2001 and March 2004.
Success in education:
Key Stage 2 SAT's results for SACCS children that have taken the tests:
- The overall average SAT's score for the children is 3.46.
- The average scores for each subject are listed below:
- English: 3.33
- Maths: 3.13
- Science: 3.93
- 50% of young people taking GCSE's achieved over 5 A-C's.
- 75% of young people [eligible to take] achieved at least one A-C grade.
- 100% of young people [eligible to take] achieved at least 4 A-G grades.
Success in education for children after leaving SACCS:
- 78% of children leaving SACCS are currently in full time mainstream education (schools or colleges).
- The remaining 22% are in on site education, a special school, home tuition or a residential school.
Successful future placements - children moving from SACCS:
- 100% of children moving into a SACCS family placement are currently in successful long term placements.
- 73% of children moving into Local Authority or agency foster placements are currently still in placement.
- 64% of children moved into foster care or Supported Lodgings.
- 86% of children and young people who have moved into foster care or Supported Lodging remain in placement or have successfully moved into independence after leaving SACCS.
- 79% of children and young people leaving SACCS are still in the placement that they moved to from SACCS, or they have moved into independence.
Successful Recovery outcomes:
- 28% of children leaving SACCS had satisfactory Recovery outcomes.
- 69% of children leaving SACCS had good, very good or excellent Recovery outcomes.
